In this video post, I share a message of Thanks to The Institutional Diversity Blog Community. In the years I've been running this blog, I've learned some valuable lessons:
- Post Content Consistently: When I first began, I was able to post on a weekly basis, and that helped me build up a dedicated following of return visitors who eventually became part of this community. I've found, over the years, that posting regularly is the best way to build and grow an engaged online community.
- Video Blogs Are More Engaging: I like producing video blogs (like the one below), because it's a way of connecting across multiple mediums and it also increases traffic to the blog, and the amount of time visitors spend peruising its content.
- I Can Use My Voice in Whatever Way I See Fit: I don't have to fit into a particular box or stereotype, and I have the freedom to say what I want, and use my voice in the way that best suits me.
I'd like to better connect with you, so please follow me on Twitter (@Diversity_Blog), subscribe to my newsletter, and connect with me and leave a recommendation on LinkedIn: https://goo.gl/JlcqQT
Also, I want to hear from you on ways I can enhance and improve this site:
