White Privilege Conference (WPC) Global – Toronto Speaker: Dean Adrien K. Wing

In May 2018, Ryerson University’s Office of the Vice-President, Equity and Community Inclusion (OVPECI) hosted The White Privilege Conference Global – Toronto (WPC Global – Toronto), marking the first time the conference was held in Canada. The event explored Canadians’ challenges with privilege and oppression, and in her keynote speech: “Global White Supremacy: Past, Present, Future”, Dean Adrien K. Wing examines the phenomena of white privilege from the time of colonization and slavery to the present era of neocolonialism and imperialism [Dean Wing’s comments begin at: 21:25].
