White Privilege Conference (WPC) Global – Toronto Speaker: Dr. Rinaldo Walcott

In May 2018, Ryerson University’s Office of the Vice-President, Equity and Community Inclusion (OVPECI) hosted The White Privilege Conference Global – Toronto (WPC Global – Toronto), marking the first time the conference was held in Canada. The event explored Canadians’ challenges with privilege and oppression, and in his keynote speech: “White Lies: Race, Power & The Future”, Dr. Rinaldo Walcott shares his thoughts on how we can move forward at a time when race equity is regressing despite the diversity rhetoric [Dr. Walcott’s comments begin at: 16:16].
